Our bedroom is my most preferred part of our house. It is where my husband and I use up most of our time whenever we are home and the best place to rest our tired bodies from daily task to earn a living that is why we exert all our energy and effort to make it look its best. I am proud to say that we have invested on a collection of contemporary bedroom furniture that dominates its look for a more comfortable and stylish expression.

This is perfectly what I describe as a *roomy* bag. Got this one from dear daughter Rhea, dear because she has no way to refuse, hahahaha. I love pens
What are the essential tools you carry in your bag? I can clearly say that I cannot do away without my pens. I do a lot of signing office documents so I have the utmost need which even started my fancy for these. In fact it has been a habit to purchase a variety of them whenever I pass by a bookstore or novelty shops. My favorites are jell pens in different colors. Do you know I collect pens from places I have been whenever I travel? I find pens so addicting.

My Seattle based friend Rhona is in town since last Friday visiting his stroke stricken dad. When I called her the following day, I had known that her dad just checked out of the hospital due to pneumonia. When I called she said she was busy and told me she will call me back. She said she is still attending to a man who was at their home to check and install this portable oxygen concentrator to provide oxygen therapy to his dad. In less than 30 minutes she gave me a ring back.

I*ve satisfied my cravings
Since hubby is on a diet for some no no foods because of his creatitine, tryglicerides and cholesterol a little elevated, me and the kids are kinda affected with this. We have to go for vegetables, grilled fish and chicken alone. Good thing we treated a visiting couple (Kuya Sam and Ate Grace) from Jakarta at Seaside near the Mall of Asia so we feasted for seafoods which I*ve been missing for almost 2 months.

My husband and I would always come to a rift whenever he would tag me along to meet client turned friends. Normally I don’t want to join them so I would just go around the mall to window shop. One time I tried to refuse because I have to beat a deadline to post some campaign offers but he was so insistent to let me go with him. We came in early for the appointment and while we were waiting he brought me to a Laptop Shop offering great deals on Dell laptops. I had a big smile on my face upon hearing his promise to get me one and another student laptop for Queenie as birthday present. You see me and daughter Queenie’s birthday falls on the same date. My friend Rhona is coming today from Seattle to visit his sick dad. She told me she’s going to drop by before she leaves to check my PC for an upgrade since I told her that it has slow memory storage. Oh yes! DIY Hair Coloring
I don't normally do this not if there's an urgent need. Just when I was about to leave for the salon, I realized that it was a Wednesday and the one who does my coloring is in his day off. Back to Golf
Realizing the need to go back to his foremost hobby that is golf, my husband brought out his Golf Equipment which has long been stocked-up in our backyard storage. The reason behind this was that he was advised by his doctors to shed off those excess pounds to normalize his tryglicerides and cholesterol level to prevent the risk of having heart problems later. He was also told to follow a strict diet and a regular exercise is a must to keep him fit and trim. I am hopeful that his desire to play golf once again will go on regular schedule and not just be ”a spark of the moment”.

A new van!
The service vehicle we use to transport our security guards to our clients was old enough so we decided to trade it with a new 4x4 van a week ago. Since it is also intended for family use, my husband opted to accessorize it. First thing he did was to buy a hinge type tonneau cover to protect our luggage and stuffs when we go on out of town trips.

In the medical field

My eldest daughter Rhea Marie who graduated from Medical School and just finished her Internship is now preparing for the upcoming boards. Though she's not yet licensed, I've witnessed her do minor emergency surgeries with our employees most of whom are our security guards. Just recently when one of them figured out in a mauling incident, she has to stitch the guard's head wounds. It's good I have invested for her some basic medical supplies to use.
Knowing we have a future medical practitioner around, some of our staff bring their kids for consultation and prescriptions for mild cases like persistent coughs and colds, pneumonia or asthma. A number of them comes for blood sugar and blood pressure check. My friends even calls for consultation and referrals too. I'm overjoyed to see her willingness to help. My only wish and prayer now is for her to pass the medical board.

After visiting our sick friend Gina, BFF and travel buddy Edna & I headed for Serendra to chill out. We checked out other styles of Melissa shoes but there where no available sizes for both of us, good enough we were spared. We spent the rest of the hours at Cupcakes planning an upcoming budget trip to Singapore via Tiger Airways while waiting for Steve to pick her up. I just love moments bonding with close and true friends like her. It would have been more merrier if cuz Girlie had the chance to join us too. Next time cuz !

Sporty Halloween Costumes
With Halloween just around the corner, I and some active, concerned community members have started to get busy planning and preparing for this upcoming neighborhood Trick or Treat. Some parents have been inquiring about the affair and offer to lend their helping hand to make the occasion a success. Others even came bringing along and showing me some sketches and pictures of Halloween Costumes they plan to have their children wear on this affair. This made me more excited knowing everyone is cooperating and working as a team.
Just yesterday, a group of young boys came to ask me if I they can come wearing a sporty attire as their Halloween Costumes. Know what? They are a bunch of football fanatics who are dying to wear their favorite team get up complete with all the needed accessories from top to bottom. Of course I said yes and even gave them this website so they can surf and enhance the ideas they have in mind. The boys were very happy, excited and they cannot wait much longer for this event.
Ever have kids who love football? Then you may consider this idea of having them wear football attire this Halloween. This will surely make them happy and excited knowing they can express what they desire for.

This was one big news last weekend "Camille Pratts is 4 months pregnant". I posted this entry because here I confirmed how media can sensationalize a news by connecting it with something or someone that will make it grand so people will make a big fuzz out of a subject. In this case, they linked an innocent individual to create a puzzle on some peoples mind on who fathered Camilles's baby.
In fairness, I've seen this couple, Camille and Anthony since they were in their teens tagging along with their parents Mareng Alma & Pareng Dondee (Camilles's) and Mareng Mel & Pareng Eddie (Anthony's) in almost all the parties/occassions of BFF Edna. Edna's daughter Ginger and Camille are bestfriends since grade school days at O.B. Montessori. So, in some ways I also had an idea how love bloomed between Anthony and Camille.

I have signed up with PayPerPost a couple of months ago, 22nd of June to be exact upon the influence of my stay-at-home-cousin who turned problogger. At first, I was not that interested on the idea but just the same I gave in to her proposal. I posted my blog ads only 2 weeks ago followed by a few more, and would you believe I have earned almost a hundred green bucks! I often turn my head and give a second glance whenever I see mothers carrying their babies using baby sling. I was not aware know that there are lots of benefits in it. I have never really experienced carrying my baby that way because I had nannies to take care of them. But come to think of it, I would have been one of those mothers I see now that I had known the life long benefits of carrying babies in sling and I’m gladly sharing them to everyone particularly new mothers alike.
Baby wearing in baby slings eases your baby's transition from the womb to the world because it maintains the baby and mother’s closeness. It promotes and enhances the bond between parent and child. It is also convenient for breastfeeding mothers on the go and frees your hands for other work you need to attend to.
Baby slings are suitable for newborns to toddlers up to 35 lbs. but don’t worry because most children stop wanting to be carried in a sling by age 3 to 4 and 35 lbs. In most cases, your child will stop wanting to be carried before they outgrow the sling.

How fast the days go by and before you know it’s already Halloween, and then comes Christmas and another year to come and go. Gosh, how time flies!
With Halloween just around the corner, it’s good I already have an idea from one internet site on what Halloween Costume my young lady Queenie and grandaughters will wear for their class party. But who say’s Halloween parties are just for kids or young people around? Of course not!
My friends and I have organized a Halloween party exclusively for females. Why? It’s because we all agreed to come in Naughty Halloween Costumes and Sexy Halloween Costumes . We will hold the party in one of my pal’s condo suite somewhere in Ayala, Alabang and that’s definitely exciting to look forward to. Our group often meets for plain girl talks, sharing what’s new with us over coffee or tea, plain dinner or lunch which became kind of boring at times so this different menu was conceptualized.

This is a cute pair huh! I was following a thread on Filipino cooking and ended on Marie's blog, my admiration didn’t stop there, he he I sent her an email asking where she got it and what it is. She said she got it in HK and it is MXM, not sure if it is MaxMara, but I did googled the brand and didn’t find it. Leads anyone?
Women and shoes is something that can’t be separated, we just have to have the right shoes for each outfit. A reason to buy one, be it ennui, angst, or just gotta have that. Ooops, my consumerism is showing or is it my browness? Imelda Marcos of the thousand shoes fame is after all a Filipino :0 A friend even justified it as shoes gives a woman a pep in her every step.

An innovative approach to learning
When my youngest daughter entered school, I noticed that she’s a slow learner and doesn’t have much interest to learn. I asked advices from friends and one of them recommended that I get her an Innovative Tutor, one who can help my child develop key academic skills and goal-setting abilities. We found him a mate!
We were so happy we found our darling Totoy a mate. You see I have been thinking about this for months since we do not want to deprive him of his sexual needs. We want him to be one normal specie just like one human being because we love him and treat him as one.The female doggie is owned by our heater installer when we had our bathroom renovated. Our pets were both first timers so we needed to hire a "shooter". The deal is that if lucky to have the female pregnant (it will take about 65 days) we requested one male and female babies to keep.

It has been three weeks ago since my daughter have been bragging about this latest shoe brand which she said I would love for sure. I checked out it's local site plus I checked it out last week at Mix-Greenbelt but they have few stocks and styles left because the saleslady claimed it was selling like hotcakes......hmmm? She told me to check it out at Mia Bella at Serendra if they still have smallest sizes for styles and colors I like. Early Sunday morning, I called Mia Bella and reserved for it. Anyway my daughter Rhea promised to share 2,000 bucks out of her first paycheck and even drove me of to Serendra after our afternoon church vesper service.
With us is my pretty niece Camille.P.S.
I was also lucky to buy 2 tops on sale at 2 boutiques at the Mall of Asia prior to this and a pair of black flat doll shoes. Wowee!

Bushy or Bald? Do you go for Brazilian Wax?
Brazilian waxing is the procedure of removing hair in the genital area. Girls to women of different ages go for varied and different reasons like 1) hygiene, 2) they find it sexy and/or 3) they don’t want them sticking out of their undies or bikinis.

Waxing is done in a private room with a door. You remove your pants & underwear and sit in a coach with clean towels or sheets. It takes about 30 min. to an hour.

When the wax has cooled, she will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pulling the hairs out by the root and so on. The best waxers are fast, which means less discomfort for you. Your waxer will tweeze any stray hairs.
Once the waxing is done, the waxer will spread soothing lotion over the waxed areas to avoid bumps and redness.
Be sure to get the name of the waxer so when you come back for another appointment you can have the same person to do it and don’t have to go naked again all for another stranger.
What to expect:
Like any waxing, the procedure can be very painful at first but frequent visits usually cut down the pain factor. As for the embarrassment factor – you just have to think that getting a Brazilian can't be any more embarrassing than a typical visit to your gynecologist's office. These aestheticians have seen it all before.
