After what happened to my former website mariegvergara.com, I was so worried that I may no longer receive job offers from payu2blog since I may encounter problems registering with them my new website marievergara.com. But by the blessings of the Lord my new website was accepted by payu after 3 request messages sent within just 2 weeks of waiting. Now I feel really blessed that He didn’t take away my extra means for sustaining some of my needs and vanities as well. Thanks Payu!!!

The year that was and the year to come!

The year 2010 had been a good one for me and the rest of the family. There had been many happy and memorable occasions and events that happened during the year. Among them was the 50th birthday of my husband Rey, the 18th birthday of my youngest daughter Queenie and my 2nd term victory as re-elected Barangay Chairman of our community.

Travels and trips here and abroad were also in abundance during the past year. I remembered I had three out of the country trips and a lot of local trips among them were the seminar in Cebu. Despite a few heartaches, pains, worries and stress, I can say I passed and survived with flying colors and I thanked the good Lord!

Now comes 2011 and still hopeful that this year will be a great one for me, my family, my friends and of course to my constituents and all the common people I offer my services to as a mere PUBLIC SERVANT.

Early morning when I got up and heard about the passing of former President Cory, I felt a slight pinch in my heart. Being an ordinary citizen, I really never had any encounter with her except when I and the whole family joined a long March from Ayala to EDSA (Q.C.) and participated in most rallies during the EDSA Revolution and other means to show support. I admire Pres. Cory as an epitome of a complete woman----as a wife, a mother and a public servant. She's an example of a virtuous woman.

Since hubby is on a diet for some no no foods because of his creatitine, tryglicerides and cholesterol a little elevated, me and the kids are kinda affected with this. We have to go for vegetables, grilled fish and chicken alone. Good thing we treated a visiting couple (Kuya Sam and Ate Grace) from Jakarta at Seaside near the Mall of Asia so we feasted for seafoods which I*ve been missing for almost 2 months.

It's our main bathroom on the first floor that's been undergoing complete renovation for almost 2 weeks now and I'm getting a little impatient. Since the work started, we've been using the laundry/and bathroom of our angels (househelps) to bathe needing to heat water, using a pail and a dipper because the shower isn't working. The powder room in our room serves as wash and comfort room only. It may take about 3 more days till it's done and the angels' toilet and bath will be next in line. Our living area is also in a total disarray.


Anyway, I'm more thankful than impatient for our bathroom's new and brighter look from black bowl and green tiles to a beige bowl and mosaic multi-colored tiles.
