Ready for special occasions

Sunday, February 6, 2011

I had the chance to get a good connection with one of the famous couturiers in the country today and was able to fit several of his gowns and formal dresses which were offered to me at discounted prices. It was my long time wish to have even just one gown made by this designer. I would really love to store special occasion dresses since I always attend special functions and social gatherings in lieu of my present position. If I have them on hand, I will always be prepared and not cram for something to wear in cases of short term invites.

Bubble Tea, etc.

Monday, January 31, 2011

I'm not a coffee person just like my husband but a tea lover instead. I've tried several and among my favorites are jasmine and the milk tea publicly served to gamers at the Venetian Hotel in Macau! Just recently we've discovered a newly opened cozy place in Wilson, Greenhills called the Bubble Tea. They not only offer various kinds of teas (hot or cold) but different yummy cakes as well as Japanese delights. If you happen to pass by the area I highly recommend the place! Nice one!

"Bubble drinks are usually cool, refreshing, and a sweet drink with tapioca pearls sitting on the bottom of a clear cup. Sometimes the drink is made with fresh fruits, milk, and crushed ice to create a healthy milk shake. You can also find drinks that are made of powdered flavoring, creamer, water, and crushed ice. And if you like it like the Asians do, the cool drink usually includes a healthy tea, infused by a flavoring. Tapioca pearls are black, but can sometimes be found to be white or transparent. Depending on the ingredients of the pearl, the color varies. I've been told that the white and translucent pearls are made of caramel, starch and chamomile root extract. The black pearl includes sweet potato, cassava root and brown sugar, which add the black color.

The consistency of tapioca pearls are somewhere between jell-o and chewing gum. They are the size of a marble. They are also known as the "boba" drink in Western China because it is described as to having the same texture as the female breasts."

I want a Blackberry!

Saturday, January 15, 2011

I am definitely stricken by the so called blackberry storm! I really would love to upgrade my current one over a blackberry phone since most of my friends attests that it is the best over the previous ones they had before. One more thing is that according to current survey most celebrities and executives use Blackberry phones and even just for the thought of it, I would also like to be considered among one. There are many to choose from the most popular ones such as the Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Curve and the new Blackberry Torch which adds the great features of a touch screen with the trusted and loves Blackberry keyboard. I would be saving to get one soon!

November born

Saturday, December 25, 2010

Last month’s birthstone jewelry november issue of Woman Today Magazine features Topaz, the lucky birth gemstone of people born on the month of November like me. I sadly remembered losing my favorite Topaz huge heart shaped ring bought almost ten years ago on my first trip to Bangkok. How I wish I can find the same kind of quality stone and gold in a rare kind of setting. I’ll try browsing through redenvelop.com and check their custom made birthstone jewelries.

Comfortable massage tables

Monday, July 5, 2010

Unlike my husband Rey, I shunned myself from massages until I got a relaxing feel of it in one of his sessions. We normally have it in the comfort of our own bedroom by expert and professional on call masseuse. But would you think it will be much convenient if I choose and purchase one from among the massage tables offered at massagetables.com? I saw a lot of great deals here and realized that using this special kind of unit makes it more comfortable because your body is adept to the different massage positions called for. Best of all neither of us will be disturbed in bed in case one is undergoing a massage.

The child in us

Thursday, October 30, 2008

I basically think that even when we reach the age of maturity or shall I say when we grow older; the child in us is revealed at some point. Personally, I love collecting dolls and a few dollhouses too. I have special liking for infants and baby looking ones with soft tender bodies. In one of my reflecting moments, I was asking my self why I have this special fondness for dolls. Then I remembered that when I was a child, I only have like two made of plastic– a girl and a boy I named “Bitoy”. My parents especially my eldest sister opted to buy informative books like Volumes of Child Encyclopaedia and the like. I have no regrets then because I have a now lot of those dolls I missed when I was a kid.

I love pillows

Sunday, March 30, 2008

I have this special passion for pillows. Aside from several soft and cuddly ones that pile up our bed, you can find them at almost all the areas of our home. Our furniture in the living room are filled with intricately designed and embroidered throw pillows while a number of huge ones that matches the curtains in the audio visual room are scattered all over the flooring.

They say it's the finest

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

The first time I heard about this brand of watch Patek Philippe was from my husband when we were talking about expensive watches. He said that it was the kind our country's late and long time ruler used to wear. True to his words I have known from this site that it is regarded by many as the finest watch in the world. How I wish then that I can own a Sporty Classic Stainless Steel Patek Aquanaut Luce with Diamond Bezels.

Religious jewelries

Friday, January 18, 2008

Apart from being a Christian, wearing a piece of religious jewelry like my necklace with a cross pendant has been part of my almost day to day wear. Since white gold, platinum and sterling silvers are in; this necklace goes with my “whites”. When I feel holy and angelic sometimes, I even match my cross pendant with a crucifix chastity ring and because I notice that religious designed jewelries and accessories are also in fashion these days.

Malboxes filled with special thoughts

Thursday, December 27, 2007

With the computer technology on the rise, snail mails are no longer everyone’s cup of tea except for some who sticks it out with the traditional practice.
I’m so happy that our mailboxes are filled with Christmas holiday cards and mails from friends (and clients) not just abroad but from cities around the country. I guess they know that I’m still one typical old-fashioned lady when it comes to receiving greetings. Thank you so much for the thought.

Comfy dressing

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

What type of clothing make you feel comfortable with ease of movement? Definitely, shirts are my usual casual wear worn over my favorite denim jeans. Because of their light material which usually comes in cotton, I also love to wear those oversized shirts as sleepwear.

Basically, I buy high quality and branded kinds I wear to work and on special occasions because the more expensive shirts lasts longer than those cheap priced ones.

BEHIND THE DECISION

Photo taken by cuz, she was with me when I bought this

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Honestly at first, I was not convinced by my cousin the hipncoolmomma Girlie to do ad campaigns until I saw with my two bare eyes the first check she got from one campaign advertising company. So I told myself I would also love to do sponsored posts and save extra money for some items I would love to buy. Thanks to her influence. I am so happy to get the above stuff as my birthday present for myself though a part of the price was generously given by hubby because I just started doing campaigns late June. I was really inspired and I am still working if not so really hard to buy more luxurious items for MYSELF.Yeeeeha!

3 Things I Can*t Let Go

Cuz Girlie and Francine want to know the 3 Things I Can*t Let Go. Well, now that I*m a community chairman, I*ll still stick to the following:

1. Blogging – has been a part of my system, I can’t leave all YOU behind and the least is that I earn from it somehow. It’s also my way to de-stress and voice out my rants.

2. My Vanities – of course looking my best, shopping for bags, shoeses, accessories, etc plus short trips here and abroad.

3. Chilling out and partying with friends.

How about you
Eden, Kristine, Gracie and Acey? Please? Thanks!

Campaign Trail, etc.

Sunday, October 21, 2007

Have to take advantage of today since it*s a Sunday when people opted to stay home, that*s what I think because of the recent Glorietta Mall bombing most are afraid to go out. I didn*t miss the church service and went straight to have additional tarpoulines and t-shirts printed. I was sooo tired though I have to take time to post sponsored posts to achieve a goal to be able to purchase a present for myself for my coming birthday.

This is perfectly what I describe as a *roomy* bag. Got this one from dear daughter Rhea, dear because she has no way to refuse, hahahaha. You know I have this very bad habit of turning my bag upside down whenever I cannot find what I am looking for and this is good enough to counter my crabby head. Thanks!
