Nice looking garage floors
Monday, April 23, 2012
I have been looking for space where our guards’ quarterly meetings, seminars and the like can be held since our Board Chairman ceased to allow holding them in our garage. She says the garage floor will be tainted with messy stains, will crack and repair for all these will cost that much. I’m giving her some tips and advices to erase that wrong notion since there are ways to remedy such problem. Floorjunkies.com will be the best solution for this problem. You can check this out too.

Yamaha Guitars are the best!
Friday, April 20, 2012
I’m proud to have musically inclined granddaughters. Keren plays the piano and organ while Kisses strums her guitar. It’s been a long while since Kisses had been requesting for a new guitar. I have two (2) nephews from the the province who are asking for electric guitars too. So from then on, I started searching for the best brand of guitars in the market. Yamaha Guitars is so far the best among the other brands I found. So why invest on low quality musical instruments when you can get one that have been tried and tested for excellence?
The house where we stayed
Wednesday, April 11, 2012
It is strategically located along the National Highway, few steps to the Municipal Hall and the Catholic Church in Il Sur, San Juan, La Union. Farther across is a resort and a surfing site. It is also located near the small public market. The house with a big lawn has five rooms, 2 at the first level and 3 upstairs.
Holy week-end trip (April 6-9, 2012)
We had such an enjoyable week-end vacation up north though it was only on Holy Tuesday that we got to finalize where exactly to go. Thanks to Joey, my daughter Rhea’s classmate in Med School who offered their home in San Juan, La Union. The 6-hour (including stops for pees and eats) road trip was comfortable riding in a borrowed van courtesy of a friend while the rest rode in our SUV in convoy. There were no boring times because each of us brought along our gadgets. Rhea and I watched separately on our portable dvd player, Kisses with her laptop and Keren with her apple ipod nano. Even our helpers played games in their cellphones.
We left at 9:00 a.m. of Good Friday and while passing by some towns in Tarlac, we saw devotees performed extreme acts of penitence to atone for their sins. Their religious ritual involves performance of self-flagellation acts like carrying heavy wooden crosses, whipping their backs until they bleed, believing that their sacrifice would somehow grant salvation for their sins. The ritual involves believers marching for several hours under the scorching heat of the sun with their arms and legs tied while they were inflicted wounds on their backs with a blade and sometimes even have themselves nailed to crosses as expressions of penance.
A different kind of yoyo - "mighty flea yoyo"
Tuesday, April 3, 2012
When I was a kid in my elementary years I was awed at my playmates that are good at this yoyo thing. There were promotional yoyos by Coke and parts of these promos are exhibitions performed and at one time I was able to see one in our school.
Now I was doubly awed by this high-tech mighty flea yoyo when I saw it on YouTube. Watch it by clicking on the highlighted link.
Monday is Red Day
Monday, April 2, 2012
No no no...It's not Valentine's Day dear readers. It's just that we have colored coded days for our uniform. Red top and black skirt is our usual uniform but for the meantime that we are still waiting for the brand new sets, we settled for blue jeans and the prescribed color for each day for our staff. Here are some photos taken today during a break.

Here I go again! On fool's day?
Here I am singing "I swear, by the moon and the stars in the sky and I swear..." This time it's for real that I will be writing consistently just as I also promised in my other blog http://www.marievergara.com/. Who say's it's April Fool's Day? Yes it is but it was just a coincidence that my promise was done today. With much regrets for failing to post a sort of an online diary from important to the least of my life's event there will come a time when you wanted to recall past memories and realize why you failed to blog. Social networking is good but pictures and status updates are not enough to convey your feelings. It's in blogging that I found and developed special friendships with people who I now call real friends not just online. When I met them personally even the first time, there's a special bond that as if you've known each other already for quite sometime and that's apart from just earning out of it. So how can I ever give up blogging?
