Watch your Tongue

Sunday, July 29, 2007

"Think before you Speak"
We all use our tongue to speak and communicate irregardless of what motives and desire we want to relay to another person may be. Words can hurt, make one feel sad and can frequently do a lot of harm. They can also make people happy BUT they can also make them feel bad and distressed if used in the wrong way. Some words that you think are funny could actually be bold and daring to others. Be humble and kind specially to those who are not much as blessed as you are, they have the heart to get hurt. So again, think before you speak.

Another Vanity Tip

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Everyone notices my crowning glory these past few days and I'm inspired. Why? because my hair is just one aspect of me that posts a great problem in my over-all aura. Originally it is dry, stiff and unmanageable. I thought several times of having a rebond but thinking that it will add further damage I resorted to a new hairstyle - the curly look which is an "in" thing these days, less or no chemical used at all and best of all everybody says it suits me well. Do you agree?

How to go about it:
1. After a bath, towel dry your hair until damp.
2. You may apply Tigi Bed Head Curl Maker (or any gel product) but it can be optional if you have natural hair like mine. I don't use it often because it's a little expensive about $25. But if you have moolah to spare this is highly recommended. Girls, this is not a sponsored post!
3. Have your hair sectioned and roll it towards the inner direction (paloob). Do not use the cover of the rollers use hair clips instead so as not to leave unsightly line marks on the upper or at your hair's crown.
4. Leave for a minimum of 2 hours unless you're going out. If you plan to have it overnight it is strongly suggested you use the rollers with foams so you can sleep without difficulties.
5.After taking the rollers, run a little hair shine to give your hair a glow.
Good luck!

Turn up the heat and blow your top! Go from a hair hater to a curl maker. Pump in kinky, sexy ringlets or round brush in sleek, smooth curl. Get ultra-light hold, control and volume that really lasts. It's good for you to get a little Uptight!

Health Insurance - This is a must!

Thursday, July 26, 2007

In my own opinion, money is not just about anything, though I will not contest other people’s view on this for reasons of its vital importance to our daily existence. Then I realized how important good health is for the family. No matter how we take care of our health but on the contrary if the illness is carried in the genes it is somewhat hard to handle. You may think that this sounds contradicting because money is also essential in maintaining good health. If you lack money, how can you buy and pay for staple foods, medicines, doctor’s fees and eventual hospitalization expenses?

Take the case of my husband Rey who was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 33 years old which is about 14 years by now. You can just imagine the cost being spent for his ailment. Thanks to my ever anticipating mother-in-law because knowing they have the family history of diabetes got her three boys a Life and Health Insurance when they turned 21 years old. The insurance company she got gave the best benefits and even offered financial assistance like loans for any reason anytime when you need it most. Isn’t that a great help?

Today, health care costs are high, and getting higher. Who do you think will pay your bills if you have a serious accident or a major illness? With health insurance, you protect yourself and your family in case you need medical care that could be very expensive. If you have insurance, many of your costs are covered by a third-party payer, the insurance company or your employer and this makes health insurance something very important. This will mean a lot of savings.

Learn the basics of health insurance in My Insurance Review - Health and please refer to their free health insurance guide to find the right health plan for you.

The "Face Behind The Blog"

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

I had second thoughts doing this taggie by cuz Girlie since the face is all over this blog. Anyway, I should still post a picture of me that has never been seen before- the unglamourous vanidosa. Yes that's me straight out of the shower. A Filipina, Christian blogger, based in Sta. Ana, Manila, Philippines married to a loving but sometimes insensitive guy named Rey.

I have two beautiful (from a mom*s opinion) girls, Rhea Marie, a graduate of Medicine now trying out a graveyard shift (8:00 pm to 5:00 am) job in a Canadian firm evaluating and approving Insurance claims to earn for her vanities. She*s hopefully taking the medical boards on February, 2008. She got married to a cute guy named Job, an Optometry graduate before her 18th birthday and now have 2 beautiful and smart girls aged 11 and 8. So that makes me a young granny, oh gosh!

My youngest is Reyna Bianca *Queenie* a 14 year old high school freshman at O.B. Montessori Center, a brat who hates studying but loves to dance, sing, watch DVDs, eat and sleep.

I am a SAHWife and an Executive (duh!) since our Office is just a doorstep away but most of the time out on (un)official tasks except for client calls and meetings. I work in a family owned company of Rey*s (Radar Security & Watchman Agency) a Security Agency providing security guards, etc. to business firms and I head the Operations.

Approaching my Golden Year, I live up to my being a Vanidosa trying hard to stay fit and firm despite the uncontrollable aging process, thus the blog Vanidosa. Unfortunately, I never learned how to cook though I supervise all the household chores. Thanks to all my dependable *helpers*.

It*s hard to admit but at times I*m becoming more moody, cranky, sluggish, lazy and bored. I*m trying hard to be out with good friends and to regularly attend belly dancing sessions with cuz every Mondays and Fridays (with Queenie) to keep me up.

Some of the blogs that I know which put up picture(s) of me are :

who else but BFF Hipncoolmomma, my Cuz Girlie

And here's the instruction to this meme :

1st step - Post a short blog article that includes a photograph (or a series of photos) showing the face behind your blog. If you already showed a photo somewhere on your site (such as in your about page), then make your post more interesting and choose a photo that’s not currently online.

2nd step - Include links to other people that have displayed a photo, or include their photos in your post, adding a reference.

3rd step - Tag as many others as you like in your post to spread the meme.

4th step - If you link back to me here and send an email I’ll be sure to include links back to you.
Each person tagged should create their own post and repeat the process.

Original Phone Parts

Thursday, July 12, 2007

The advancement in communication technology has brought about the boom in the worldwide use of cellular or mobile phones. They come in handy and useful be it for personal or business purposes and far more very reliable during emergencies. Who doesn*t own one? In my case, I have two mobile phones and I feel empty handed whenever I miss or forget to bring them with me which rarely happens.

Your mobile phone goes with you everywhere and anywhere you go, so it ss at risk of getting damaged sooner or later and needs to be repaired. It is not about just plainly getting a repair. Why bring your phone to shop you cannot rely? One needs to have it fixed by certified and honest technicians who obtains original Wholesale phone parts from reliable sources.

Wholesale phone parts is a highly recommended site where they sell all kinds of original mobile phone spare parts, lcd, flex cable, data cables, memory cards and repairing tools, data cables, unlocking tools even for the latest mobile phones units.

Or best of all, if you are planning to set up your own cellular or mobile phone repair and accesories shop, Wholesale phone parts can supply you with all the best quality parts you may ever need.

We are (now) Pet Lovers

Meet our extended family members

Basically I hate pets because of their foul smell spreading like fire in the whole house. It was my mom who loves them. I remember she had 3 small dogs, a toy terrier named Cherrie, Beepbeep the dachshund, Bubbles the bubble eyed one and a big bred dog named Ranger. It was Cherrie who I disliked the most because she was very loyal and always seated beside my mom that no can come close to her or you*ll get a bite. Arrrgggg!

Not until 2005 which is the Year of Dog that we decided to own one with my special request to hubby for a Shar-pei, those wrinkled kinds. One time, when we were doing our mall rounds, we happened to pass by a pet shop and saw this 2 month old Pug in the glass showroom looking so cute all eyes at me like begging and saying *please adopt me*. Hubby, I and the kids all agreed to take him home right there and then. So there, we named him Popoy. A week after hubby came bringing along a puppy Dachshund we now call Totoy. And just recently, my daughter Rhea brought home two poodles one after the other in a span of two weeks for her two little girls, Choc-nut for Kisses and Chestnut for Keren.

Pets need a lot of attention and special care too. Feeding them is just not enough. We give them vitamins and bring them to the Vet when they are sick. We treat them like members of the family and brag about how much I love them that I wear uniquely designed Dog t shirts and sweatshirts with their faces printed on them.

This site - Dog t shirts and sweatshirts features the work of pet photographer Vincent Strangio. They sell uniquely designed dog shirts, sweatshirts, dog cards, mouse pads made with state of the art equipments of high quality print image with high photo quality not just mere transfers or screen prints that peel or cracks and does not have the rubbery feel like other ordinary print you see elsewhere. Best of all they offer a 100% money back guarantee if you do not absolutely love their work.

For your party needs

Three months to go before Halloween and I*m starting to conceptualize the program for the neighborhood*s trick or treat street party. Two year*s ago, I spearheaded this kind of affair to liven up our Barangay (The smallest political unit into which cities and municipalities in the Philippines are divided. It is the basic unit of the Philippine political system) specially the children. The event was a success and well supported by the adults who were also clad in different costumes. There is no need for us to go to other villages to experience the fun and surprises plus the candies the kids crave for. I would not let anyone around miss the same fun this year. Planning will no longer be difficult for me because I found a site - Moon Costumes which will be of great help.

Having problems on what to wear for themed parties or for this coming Halloween? Not anymore if you visit this site. They offer a huge line of Halloween costumes not only for children and adults but also for our beloved pets. Also available are Halloween props, magic and clown supplies, wigs, masks, hats, make-up, tattoos, decorations and more.

Back to belly dancing! my favorite form of fitness to tone my long stagnant muscles and abs and a great way of bonding with Cuz Girlie . I had much fun with the simple dance routine along with the music of Shakira*s *Hips Don't Lie* and the standard belly step exercises prior to the routine. Hopefully and wish I can attend the regular sessions every Mondays and Fridays and do away with the setbacks that hampers my availability.

Sterling Silver and Stone

Sunday, July 8, 2007

To possess jewelries and accessories have always been every woman*s desire depending upon their preferences and the capacity to own. Some prefers lavish, intricately designed and expensive pieces while others favor clean simple ones depending on their personality. Personally, I invest on precious jewelries of gold, diamonds, pearls and my birth stones, some were gifts from my mother-in-law and a few from my husband. These jewelries are only taken out from the safe only on special occasions because I choose to wear more trendy and fashionable pieces for daily use, most of the time sterling silver. Sterling silver is a semi-precious metal that's long-lasting and beautiful which are perfect accessories for any occasion.

If you have always wanted a unique custom sterling silver ring, chain and pendant, bracelet and even colored stones laid out in elaborate designs,
PCH Dot Com Reviews can expertly design and make it to your specifications. Atlanta based artist Paige Henderson creates one-of-a-kind jewelry from sterling silver and stone with an emphasis on strong, simple design. Design inspiration comes from diverse sources -- nature, music, pop culture to name a few -- and new designs are being added weekly. An intense focus on creative collaboration and customer satisfaction has resulted in a string of delighted customers. She will be happy to discuss your sterling silver and stone jewelry ideas with you and answer all your questions in mind.

Indulge in quality and style, check PCH Dot Com Reviews for a wide selection of exquisite handcrafted and one-of-a kind jewelry from sterling silver and stone perfectly suited for any occasion.

This is *love* tag indeed, it can add to our PR rankings. Thanks HipnCool Cousin Girlie for the tag. She is the culprit, the reason why I am in this world of blogging and for that I'm so thankful. She never left me behind when code problems arise, tutored me everything till the wee hours of the morning through SMSes and phone calls. She does my banners and headers, the editing of my choiced images and shares whatever she thinks is beneficial, most recent is how to earn thru blogging. Not only a supermom, she's a superfriend too! Don't miss checking her site, you'll enjoy ALL her entries.

1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn*t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.

2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.

3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the *Originals* list.

4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the *My Adds* section. (Add no more than 5) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!

For Wig Lovers

Tuesday, July 3, 2007

Wigs have always been my fancy since I was younger. Most of the time I travel, I always bring home a wig, a few hair accessories and just recently lots of hair extensions with accompanying hair extensions of different colors with accompanying gadgets for DIY purposes. I’ve been contemplating reasons why this interest for wigs came about. Just like me, I remembered my mom the senior vanidosa had a few collections too.

When I was growing to be a teeny bopper, I wore long thickly strand straight and shiny hair to everyone’s envy not until I was in college when I met this young aspiring gay beautician who became my friend. I was his frequent visitor in his salon and as often as that, he would use to dye my virgin hair then. More often he would bleach it first before applying streaks of different colors ranging from brown to fuschia, deep red or even yellow and I would look like punk. That was the time my hair got damaged. From then on my hair started to get brittle and coarse. Adding up to the trouble was the premature growth of grey hair which is a genetic problem so I needed to have a regular monthly schedule of root dyes.

For Wig Lovers out there check WigSalon.com They sell NAME BRAND medical quality WIGS, at discounted prices. They have a uniquely easy site to navigate and learn about colors and styles. They have been in the business since 1969 and is the world's oldest comprehensive wig site.

Quality Office Furniture

The appearance of an office says a great deal to the over all impression of the business we have. What notion will it leave clients or guests of an office tucked with scruffy Office Furniture ? Your answer is as good as mine - of course a negative impression.

An office with all items of good quality and fairly regimented appearance of professionalism and good organization is presented to any person who enters the office and the favourable impression generated is likely to be applied to the business as well. A presentable Office connotes a good and harmonious business as well.

In addition to the look of the Office Furniture and its impact on the visitors to the place, the needs of the employees must also be taken into consideration. We need to provide our staff with a comfortable working area in order for them to be effective and productive. Employers should provide them with correct Office Furniture to get more work accomplished and prevent leaves due to sick days.

This site is your one stop shop for all of your office furniture buying needs and office accessories as well. It features a wide range of office furniture choices and manufacturers for every office need and budget. They will answer your questions about any of your office desks, office chairs, file cabinets, or any of your office furniture needs.
