It’s up minus the “g”

Despite relentless efforts made to retrieve my then website mariegvergara.com, it was not recovered. Thanks to dear friend Beng’s help who backed-up the files and completely set up my new website marievergara.com. Not to forget the lady who inspired, introduced and initially taught me the wonders of blogging – that’s my everdearest cousin and BFF Girlie, thank you Cuz!.
It has been almost two months since I last had updates on my website. So many things and activities kept coming up, the addiction to FB games, the feeling of laziness/tiredness that struck me at the end of the day AND the fading out of the enthusiasm to write.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to be back to the wonderful world of blogging !!!
I have to see FB blogger friends here.

Before I got my own desktop, you’ve always heard me rant about how hard was it for me to plead and tell him I have to post and/or publish an entry most importantly ones which are paid for. Blogging was supposed to be the main reason why I decided to have one but then I was hooked on 3 Facebook games – Pet Society, Restaurant City and most recent is Farmtown “na parang drogang nakaka addict”. This is something I have started to resolve since I have been deprived of much needed sleep plus mental and physical in alertness the morning after. Fair enough I also got so busy with Barangay affairs and preparations for Sunday’s affair. I would like to take this chance to thank the following friends who came to visit despite my “peek-a-boos” here and of course those who came by without leaving a mark.

It's great to meet blog friends and links based abroad when they are on s homecoming. Cuz Girlie and I were so happy that Francesca in France with hubs Mitchel were able to squeeze us in for lunch and "chika chika" (with her pretty daughter Lorraine) despite their hectic short stay in Manila. If I'm not mistaken, this is our 4th meeting since we became blog bestfriends since late 2004. We had a sumptuous buffet lunch at Market Market's Kamay-Kainan and walked across Serendra for photo shoots.

If there’s one thing I’m thankful for being in this great world of blogging and other friendly sites on the net is MEETING and developing some kind of friendship with a lot of wonderful people. I’ve met some of them in person and still looking forward to having an eye-ball with the rest of them (you guys!). Just recently, I was so joyous, inspired and grateful when I came across this blog entry of Leonore a.k.a mommycool
Here it goes:
If there's one person here in blogosphere that I admire most eh isa na don si Kapitana. Simple citizen pa lang siya noon , one of the firsts who I got to visit when I was just starting and testing the waters ika nga and groping how to customize my blogsite. Nagkamali pa ako...hehehe...kasi naman magpinsang magandang nanay, I even called her cousin with a wrong name, haaay...ang sarap palang magbelly dancing...kala ko pangsexy lang yun pwede pala talaga sa voluptuous...ooops walang aangal ha. Basta marunong ka ng undulation, hip rolling and others. Ok yun. Basta ako sa room ko nagbebelly dancing. Ma at pa. Basta masaya yon, try nyo...
Going back to where I just left...hanggang maging Kapitana na siya...at ako naman'y nagbusy-busyhan din. Early this morning kasi I did some fast bloghopping to say TY to my recent visitors. Long time link turned friend Francesca sent something special for me from France through daughter Marghie whose in town for a brief vacation and taking her time off from her French Class back in Nice, France. She's with her Ate Lorraine when we met at the FoodCourt of SM Megamall. Earlier, I sent Cuz an SMS about the meeting but unluckily she and N has a scheduled coverage. Just like with Francesca and Michel, I felt comfortable with the girls at once even though it's our first time to meet in person. We talked about lots of things and of course the eyeball will not be complete without "the kodakan". Marghie in aqua and Lorraine in brown.

My friend Rhona is coming today from Seattle to visit his sick dad. She told me she’s going to drop by before she leaves to check my PC for an upgrade since I told her that it has slow memory storage. Oh yes! She’s an IT expert and said that an IBM memory system is just what I exactly need for my computer memory upgrade. With this I can now store more files on my PC. Thanks friend!

This is a cute pair huh! I was following a thread on Filipino cooking and ended on Marie's blog, my admiration didn’t stop there, he he I sent her an email asking where she got it and what it is. She said she got it in HK and it is MXM, not sure if it is MaxMara, but I did googled the brand and didn’t find it. Leads anyone?
Women and shoes is something that can’t be separated, we just have to have the right shoes for each outfit. A reason to buy one, be it ennui, angst, or just gotta have that. Ooops, my consumerism is showing or is it my browness? Imelda Marcos of the thousand shoes fame is after all a Filipino :0 A friend even justified it as shoes gives a woman a pep in her every step.
Think about it as our contribution to the economy, there is a lot of effort involved in the production of those shoes, after all. Didn’t I say there is no effort to be profound here?
