Yes! For once, I don't need to be problematic about weight gain and stuff. With what I am doing right now, I don't need diet pills to keep my weight down. I will have to put aside this
diet pills that work, since I really do not need it. Putting on weight was really a problem to me before I started campaigning. It's a good thing that even if I stuff my mouth with any food that I want, nothing is happening. It's probably due to a little stress here and there. Add to that the calories that I burn while doing house to house campaigning, which to me is the best.

I had been experiencing terrible headaches the past few days that I become too sluggish with no energy to work anymore. So this morning, I ask my daughter Rhea to come along and find me a Specialist. We walked into the clinic of Dr. Monroy at St. Lukes’ Global City and had me examined. He gave me some medications and told me to undergo Nasal examination to rule out the possibility of having Sinusitis so we went to have an x-ray at HP Rockwell. After an hour we had the result. It turned out that it’s still chronic Rhinitis and migraine. Factors like too much heat, dust, smoke, bad sleeping habits and eyestrains due to my internet habits (might) have contributed and triggered my attacks not to mention my love for
cigars. Starting tonight, I promise not to stay too late, wear my distance glasses daily and find ways to stop the habit.

My daughters Rhea and Queenie both started wearing eyeglasses when they were still in their elementary grades. Tired for being bespectacled for long years, they are now thinking of undergoing laser treatment maybe in a few months time for Rhea and Queenie in a year or two since she is only fifteen. In the meantime they wear high graded
contact lenses on special occasions, during sports activities or just when they feel like leaving behind their glasses.

I felt terribly down the past week that it made me realized how important one's health is. Influenza aggravated by terrible headaches due to my chronic sinusitis confined me in bed for almost 5 days which made me realized that no amount can compensate the feeling. I felt sad missing some activities like guesting along with my fellow Barangay Chairmen in one TV show and also the training and birthday treat of the Congressman at Hidden Valley, Alaminos, Laguna but somehow I'm lucky and thankful that I have the means to buy medicines and seek professional help to combat the pains and eventually recover. I'm glad I am now okay. I got the chance to attend my son-in-law Job's birthday Saturday night and went to church with my girls yesterday. All's well - hoping and praying for good health.

Both my daughters Rhea Marie and Reyna Bianca wear prescription
eyeglasses since they were approximately five years old. Until this time I’m still wondering why since my husband and I still have good vision. Had I missed some nutrients when I was pregnant? You can just imagine how often they change glasses from time to time because they love fashionable eye wear in different colors and shapes.

I wonder why and where on earth my daughters inherited their poor vision. Both of them have started wearing glasses since they were about 6 years old while Rey and I except for reading glasses still have no problems with our eyesight. My girls are considering undergoing
Lasik surgery which is one of the most popular ways to correct visions using a laser to change the curvature of the cornea. We have agreed and gave a yes to the procedure very soon.

It's good I'm feeling a lot more better though I'm still feeling a little weak after a bout with Diarrhea which maybe due to the pancit and milky way chocolates I had for merienda yesterday. I even missed the scheduled Barangay 1st Council meeting for this year and another hearing about a mauling incident on the dawn of the New Year's Eve. It's great to have an in-house soon to be doctor (hopefully) who can readily prescribe medicines for emergency treatments otherwise I was thinking of rushing to the hospital for help.

My eldest daughter Rhea Marie who graduated from Medical School and just finished her Internship is now preparing for the upcoming boards. Though she's not yet licensed, I've witnessed her do minor emergency surgeries with our employees most of whom are our security guards. Just recently when one of them figured out in a mauling incident, she has to stitch the guard's head wounds. It's good I have invested for her some basic
medical supplies to use.
Knowing we have a future medical practitioner around, some of our staff bring their kids for consultation and prescriptions for mild cases like persistent coughs and colds, pneumonia or asthma. A number of them comes for blood sugar and blood pressure check. My friends even calls for consultation and referrals too. I'm overjoyed to see her willingness to help. My only wish and prayer now is for her to pass the medical board.

Being a vain momma, one thing I’m so conscious about is gaining extra and unwanted pounds. One reason behind is that I cannot imagine buying an L size shirt or dress and/or a jeans size bigger than size 26. I really mind what I eat to the point of counting the
calories I take. Mind you, I really don’t starve myself when it comes to my food intake because I do indulge occasionally but just like in driving a car, I step on the brakes when I speed up at times. Kinda busy the past few days tending to hubby's health, taking care of his meds, checks ups and diet due to his diabetes his creatine, cholesterol, tryglicedrides are somehow shooting up. But the past 5 days his blood sugar is starting to normalize. We often eat out for noodles and Japanese dishes low in fats. I myself is also having fights with my allergic rhinitis attacks after the town fiesta last Friday, May 12 due to late night sleepless nights, heat and all.
Quite late but just the same Happy Belated Mother's Day to All. With Queenie and Kisses Rey treated us for a Japanese dinner at the Power Plant. The above paper plant was made out of "bunso" Queenie's creative and artistic talent.
