This photo was 2 weeks ago when my grandaughter Nadine was among the participants in her school's Mayflower festivities. The weather proved to be stormy that time but luckily there was no rainfall but a refreshing windy atmosphere which my daughter Queenie enjoyed.

Prove me wrong!:< College Scholarship :)
It was such a long day for me. I had to wake up early for a hearing set at
To cut this short, the odds were on my side. Case closed! *winks*
After lunch, I went to the Office of the Vice Mayor to get his recommendation for a scholarship grant of 50% off from the total tuition fees of one of my poor constituent who would like to go to College but have no means. She’s the eldest of 8 children, her father a mere jeepney driver and mom a plain housewife. The total cost of the tuition fee for one semester is Php 13,000 plus but with the Vice Mayor’s grant; the amount was reduced to Php 8,750. which I promised to shoulder from my own pocket. What I offered earlier was just a Computer course at Datamex, one of the accredited schools giving a discounted rate of 50% through the Vice Mayor’s ISKOlarship program upon the Brgy. Chairman’s recommendation. The tuition fee amounts to just Php 4,000. but I thought of letting her take Tourism instead which I knew she really wished to take (next to Masscom which was not offered then). How I wish I have extra money to support more indigents get a College Education.

Brgy 885 Santacruzan 2008
Monday, May 26, 2008
Gonna go lie low (?) after this grand event of our Barangay. The preparations alone aside from the financial woes (a lot of personal expenses by the family) accompanying it made me drained for two weeks. I felt aging by I0 years helping the SK Chairman and council on this project. Well except for the poor lighting and an incomplete line of Sagala participants the event turned out grand. Anyways, this is just the start of my term and I promise together with my Council, we will do better next year and make extra effort organizing to prevent the flaws we had encountered. Thanks to the support of the whole Council in this endeavor.
BTW, Riding atop a tiburine (a horse drawn carriage)is Reyna Emperatriz Camille, daughter of hubby’s brother Roland, Reyna Delas Flores is my youngest Queenie, Princess Emperatriz is grand kid Nadine (Kezia), Princess Elena my other grandkid Keren with Rey’s nephew Ron Miguel as escort and angel Michelle is the daughter of our long time staff Ana. She's Gonnabe a Star!
Friday, May 16, 2008
There is truth to the saying that no two individuals have the same personality. My daughters Rhea Marie and Reyna Bianca who we fondly call Queenie definitely exhibit contrasting traits and behavior. My eldest Rhea excels in academics and sports while Queenie loves theatre arts. She has special talents in acting, singing, dancing and dreams to become a celebrity someday like Lindsay Lohan and Beyonce. She always tell me this line “Mom, I’m Gonnabe a star”, which I do not mind and take seriously at all but advise her to make good in school.
One time while talking with some friends about our kids, I mentioned Queenie’s special likings. The told me to enroll her in acting workshops, let her join auditions for celebrity searches and seek talent agencies to help her develop her talent and confidence. Then I realized that parents should support their kids’ interests and guide them to succeed in their special chosen field.
Now, with my support I can say with high hopes that Queenie’s Gonnabe be a star!

We were billeted in an exclusive 3 bedroom Villa with food and drinks overflowing including 3 transpo services all courtesy of the generous Mayor although hubby thought it would be more convenient for me if I bring his car and driver and ask the other 2 lady Chairmen to ride along with me.

Save a life
Tuesday, May 13, 2008
Among the many projects of the government is to solve one of the major problems of our society today which is drug addiction. It is sad to know that it is not only the youth but the elderly ones as well are now hooked in such kind of menace. There are drug rehab centers that are being offered with effective rehab program administered by competent and compassionate rehab experts committed to each individual needs. You can save a life by simply referring someone you know who are into this kind of problem for treatment.

Litratong Pinoy - Mahal na Ina
Friday, May 9, 2008

Brgy. 885 now in a festive mood
Monday, May 5, 2008
It seemed like a bayanihan affair despite the heavy downpour of rain in the early afternoon, the task resumed in the late evening till about 12 midnight. Everyone was involved - the tanods, the council, the youth of the SK Council and some residents alike in decorating the place and putting up banderitas for the May 12 town fiesta.

Lovely silk flowers!
Saturday, May 3, 2008
In the history of artificial plants silk flowers were not well received in the early years but now they are more popular because they are more realistic looking than ever. Blame it on the manufacturing process and technology; they now replicate the real plant, tree or flower right down to the minutest details. You will even be surprised when you look closely, they are artificial and you may not even distinguish which is real when mixed in with the real plants.

This is a cool tag from SHIELA, an ICU nurse from UK. This is all about your choices of men you wanted to sleep with. Well just in my dreams here are the two equally handsome men who have been in my illusions, hehe alembong! Of course not knowing anyone of them personally, my only gauge was physical or bodily appearance alone, right?
