Comfy dressing
Wednesday, November 28, 2007
What type of clothing make you feel comfortable with ease of movement? Definitely,
shirts are my usual casual wear worn over my favorite denim jeans. Because of their light material which usually comes in cotton, I also love to wear those oversized shirts as sleepwear.
Basically, I buy high quality and branded kinds I wear to work and on special occasions because the more expensive shirts lasts longer than those cheap priced ones.

Party Invitations
Tuesday, November 27, 2007
Throwing children*s party needs a lot of planning to make the affair a success. First, we need to decide the venue, then make a guest list and distribute
kids party invitations made or bought and the rest follows.
How do you gauge a party*s success then? In my personal opinion, my reply would be *If I see the glow of happiness in the celebrant*s eyes*. Am I right?

Almost complete
The past week and days have been quite hectic for me and my council members. Series of memos had been handed down, documents need to be secured, submitted and signed for records and files for govt. agencies like the Comelec, Brgy. Bureau, DILG, Office of the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Congressman and a lot more plus Oath takings till Friday, etc. until we officially assume post on November 30, 2007 at 12:00 noon.
While we were at the Barangay Bureau last Monday to complete some documents, we decided to wear a set of uniform courtesy of Vice Mayor Isko Moreno which I took advantage of taking an official photo of my 7 Council members (kagawads), our Treasurer and Secretary minus our SK Chairman.

'Twas a good start, hopefully'
Monday, November 26, 2007
I and my council members were back Friday night, November 24, from a fruitful seminar in the Summer Capital. I must admit I was really excited before we left but somehow I felt a slight feeling of nervousness and worry on how I will deal with people who I considered political rivals just weeks ago and now we will be sharing a room (discovering each others sleeping habits and lifestyle), eat, plan and learn together things for the benefit of our constituents. Somehow the seminar proved to be a good start because we bonded quite well, had fun and little by little discovered each others traits.

Window blinds for our office
Sunday, November 25, 2007
See all these amazing blinds. There is a window blind to suit your needs. You can choose from among this window
blinds - Roller, Roman, Venetian, Vertical and Wooden blind to complement the furnishings and color scheme of any room. Think about different options before decorating your window to ensure you get the privacy, light, practicality and sheer good looks you want. This website has selected a range of quality affordable window blinds that will give an excellent look for years to come.
I’m considering these vertical blinds for our office windows as soon as the renovation is done because I find them so elegant, formal, and decent and with a clean cut look suited for a real office atmosphere. The soft, layered look can easily mix and match with plain or printed curtains. Vertical blinds offers privacy though fully closed this kind of blinds offer protection from sunlight without much restriction on light. Much more their vertical range has been developed with ease of operation and a completely user-friendly trim and fit system. The slats to the vertical blinds are all easily adjustable in length and require no sewing or gluing whatsoever. Vertical Blinds is available in a variety of natural colors, the blinds are fairly low maintenance but removable veins are available in wipe clean or washable fabrics. This will be a perfect choice for our office windows.
If you love curtains, you can also check out their different curtain designs, fabrics and accessories. You will love their ready made curtains which are reasonably priced too.

Showbiz si Chairman!
Monday, November 19, 2007
Our small barangay has been a favorite shooting area of teledramas like Marimar (at the home of my elected SK Chairman Benjo) of GMA 7 and previous teleseryes of Channel 2 (they have also one suki here at the Oncapin's residence) likewise with commercial ads. Direk Louie of GMA 7 a neighbor and close friend told me that they will hold more shootings in our barangay as his way of supporting me to generate extra income for our very own barangay. I've known that for an overnight duration, the production pays 5,000 pesos on which a portion goes to the tanods and the chairman's funds (before), I mean the barangay's funds as the case should be. An earlier shooting sequences (until this time I guess) for an afternoon teledrama "My Only Love" of GMA 7 starring Mark Herras, Alfred Vargas and Rian Ramos is being held and as expected rumampa for a while si Kapitana. Buti nalang I had our streetlights decorated!

Christmas is in the air at Brgy.885
As early as last Friday, November 16, I initiated the Christmas decoration and the lighting up of our street posts even if the assumption of my Chairmanship is still on the 1st of December. Alternate red and white lanterns plus multi-colored rope lights and the first 4 posts which was unlit for a couple of years were now restored. A resident electrician and tambays volunteered to help just for snacks and a little tip. Though the expenses were shouldered by our family and yours truly, my heart leaps to hear nice comments from the residents like "wow! after several years, nabuhay na naman barangay natin!", "ganda naman! ang liwanag na satin!" and "yaman ng chairman!", hahaha kakatuwa naman pero bawas ang pambili ko ng (?) waaaaah!
Sorry for the dark pics, my camera wasn't set to night mode.

Travel in style
Saturday, November 17, 2007
I love to travel and that*s one among life*s little passion that interests me. I make it a point and save to take a trip abroad at least once a year but having a travel buddy and shopping addict like BFF Edna makes this once a year quota even increase in number. What I have in mind now is to save for classy and stylish luggage. I will simply feel like a jetsetter in a complete set of
Samsonite luggage.

New bar stools for our home
Since we have renovated our home almost a year ago, one area that we have not given attention to is our bar. My husband and I have been planning to change our old
bar stools to something appropriate to match our wooden motifs. We hope that before the holidays come, we can find time to scout for quality and affordable bar stools that will suit our budget.

Thank you friends!
Friday, November 16, 2007
Got this friendly and well appreciated tag from Rino and Thess. Thank you friends!
If I may quote “Good friends are like stars.........You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.” One thing I’m so happy about blogging is that I found so many wonderful friends, some who I’ve already met and some I am so eager to meet personally.
They all inspire me that I always look forward to blog as often as I can no matter how life is getting so busy for me. I am passing this to all of you to say thank you for the friendship.

Noticed my new header?
I*ve been wanting one since I was elected Barangay Chairman but I was too shy to ask my dearie bestfriend cuz because I know how busy she was/is in doing sponsored posts. Well, she has been asking me what I wanted for a birthday gift and I couldn*t think of one. Two days ago I thought of asking her thru an SMS if she can make me one that would serve as her birthday gift for me (hahaha, demanding ba?), I don't think she had no way to refuse because I emailed her the photos and some details she can make use of. From the moment I asked her, that was already around 9p.m. and would you believe, she didn*t sleep till 2:00a.m. just to finish my header and change the template colors that would match it? That*s my girl! Love you cuz and I really like my new header!

Our Christmas Trees
Thursday, November 15, 2007
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go…….
I’ve started to set up our trees last Saturday for the ground floor and the other at the 3rd floor. Trimmings are not yet complete though I’m just wondering why do I have to add up and buy just about every year? Oh well, that’s always the case.

Shopping at Tutuban Mall
No! it was not really my intention to shop. I just requested my appointed barangay secretary and treasurer to submit at the Liga ng mga Barangay (Manila City Hall) the list of names of my Barangay Council who have confirmed to join the Baguio Seminar on the 21st to the 23rd of this month (I*m so excited!!!) and so with the Personal Data sheets at the Barangay Bureau then proceed to 168 to buy the roped christmas lights and lanterns I am donating to lighten up the 10 posts of our barangay since the budget for the Christmas Decors will not be released (according to the previous leaders) because of the change in barangay administration, hehehe, that was their big excuse! I also noticed that the previous leaders are no longer interested in doing their tasks until they end their term on the 30th of this month. Barangay tanods are no longer visible and even the street posts lights were no longer turned on as I noticed the previous days. My gosh! I don't want to be branded as an *eager beaver* to meddle around so I just have to wait until my initial assumption on Dec. 1st comes.
Anyways, daughter Rhea expressed her desire to go to Divisoria so mommy just can*t refuse , whoaaaaah? So from 168 we headed to Tutuban Mall and here are the stuffs I got. You can view

Time tested
I saw this retro-vintage styled timepiece from a visiting friend from New York who we treated for dinner at a Chinese Restaurant the day before he left. I cannot contain myself from asking what the brand was until he replied that it*s a
Hamilton watch. As soon as I got home I went online to surf and check out its features and styles. Here I had known that the Hamilton, an American watch company, founded in 1892 has been a pioneer in wristwatch technology and style. Their watches have stood the test of time and Watch Zone is proud to carry this distinguished and unique brand.

BEHIND THE DECISION
Wednesday, November 7, 2007
Photo taken by cuz, she was with me when I bought this
Honestly at first, I was not convinced by my cousin the hipncoolmomma Girlie to do ad campaigns until I saw with my two bare eyes the first check she got from one campaign advertising company. So I told myself I would also love to do sponsored posts and save extra money for some items I would love to buy. Thanks to her influence. I am so happy to get the above stuff as my birthday present for myself though a part of the price was generously given by hubby because I just started doing campaigns late June. I was really inspired and I am still working if not so really hard to buy more luxurious items for MYSELF.Yeeeeha!
