Ana papuntang Mandaluyong at vice versa. Hindi ko inakalang may mga nakatirang mga kapuspalad na mamamayan sa karatig barangay ko. Inyo pong pagmasdan.

Best buys online
Tuesday, April 28, 2009
As I’ve posted in my previous entry, I think I can’t do away with shopping come my scheduled trip to Macau and Hongkong this weekend. If I can’t resist the idea I’m settling my mind and have listed things I only need to buy. I got to go for the best buy alone.I can always save the rest of my shopping money and shop online as soon as I get back because I can fairly say that one can always find the best buy at www.buy.com.

Happy Birthday & Get Well Soon Camille!
I’m wishing one of my favourite nieces Camille a very happy birthday though I know she’s undergoing pain due to gall stones surgery. It’s good enough that when the agonizing pain struck she was not with her cousins and family members who left for Macau last Friday supposedly with her along. Well, get well soon!

Get protected

Insurance is a must these days. What with all the viruses and diseases that easily spreads out in the open. Factors such as poor hygiene, wrong or improper intake of unhealthy food and lifestyle make us all prone to sickness. Hospitalization, medicines and medical services are too high that the cost makes us sick the more. For your health plan I recommend Blue Cross Blue Shield NC for you and your family’s protection.

April 22, 2009 - Manila Zoo and Manila Ocean Park
My council had been preparing this project for the kids aged 7-12 of Brgy. 885. We left at almost 9:00 a.m. via 2 hired jeepneys along with excited kids. It was a fine day that we toured Manila Zoo amidst sunny weather but when it was almost 11:00 a.m. I hurried them up and headed our way to Jollibee Harrison Plaza earlier before our scheduled lunch at 12:00 p.m. since I can sense a downpour of rain. True enough! It was good we were all inside the mall before the heavy downpour that almost flooded the City. The kids took time to roam around and play before we left for Manila Ocean Park. We constantly had head counts since it was a big responsibility bringing along 27 kids with us. I had to use a whistle to call their attention and pacify them. Ang kukulit!
At the Ocean Park
After the tour, the kids were invited to join the Earth Day activity with a pot decorating contest which were then planted after. Luckily and happily, all were considered winners because each of them brought a bag of goodies with stationeries, biscuits, candies and more.

I hope there's a big sale out there!
Thursday, April 23, 2009
I’m overly excited and looks forward to an enjoyable vacation scheduled on May 2-6 in Macau and hopefully a side trip to Hongkong which is just a 45 minute ferry ride. I also wish to find sale items around since if there’s one thing I cannot promise is to go shopping. Oh no, it’s not going to be a shopping spree but a minimal and wise shopping which means buying necessary stuffs alone. I’m keeping my fingers crossed with a wink on the side.

Team Building/DILG Q&As at Pansol
The Tanods of our Barangay along with the participation of some SB & 2 Sk Kagawads in attendance had its Team building last Monday at our place in Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. It was conducted by Kagawad Lulu through lectures and team building exercises which was so fun. We also had 2 guests from the DILG who gave us a brief talk on Barangay Judicial System and pointers on effective and good governance.

An Outdoor Space
Saturday, April 18, 2009
I have long wanted to have an open space at home where we can relax and enjoy when the sun is down. It’s some kind of a terrace with beautiful patio furniture to complete the ambience. With this dream we are planning to extend our 3rd floor area and convert the extra space for this to materialize sooner. It will be just another place where the family and even friends can gather and bond.

The Council at Jollibee (always!)
After every Council Meeting and a majority of "kanchaw", I noticed that we always end up at Jollibee despite some suggestions to go for pizza at Shakeys. Last Wednesday we had a perfect attendance and this called for some photo ops. I'm so proud to say that (comparing with other barangay councils we know) we have no "Judas or Judases or contra bandido/s" with us. We make it a point to lay down what's on our minds, communicate, talk openly and solve every differences in all honesty. Ang saya di ba?

Angular sinks
Thursday, April 16, 2009
Are you familiar with zero radius sinks? This is also my first time to hear and see these kinds of sinks. They are also known as Angular which are 10 inches deep and have 90 degree angles which give them clean crisp edges. Find them at siennasinks.com. Just like all other Sienna Sinks their Zero Radius models consist of top of the line Chromium/Nickel heavy duty 16 gauge stainless steel.

Lenten Season Highlights and Traditions

Maundy Thursday
Good Friday
The Penitence
On with the Good Friday tradition with cuz and looking forward to more of these.
A "Pabasa" or Chanting of the Passion of Christ was held within our Barangay which is a yearly "Panata" or tradition of the family of one of our Brgy. Council Member, Jonas Go. The Pabasa was supported by us Council Members through some PERSONAL contributions and solicitations from generous kabarangays.
Good Friday
A group from a certain company in Sta. Ana sponsored an annual "Senakulo" or a play also featuring the Passion of Christ wherein they toured all the 19 barangays of Sta. Ana which highlighted the Crucifixion of Christ in the Town Plaza. They startedthe first scene in our barangay and depicted a total of 4 scenes here.
The Penitence
While about to shoot the first scene of the senakulo, I spotted this passing by and doing his thing right in front of the mini ggrotto beside our home. I was told this man is one of the pedicab drivers in my barangay who does this yearly after he was released from jail. Öh my! I had no idea but I'll check that out this Monday coz I was kinda intrigued to know.
