EB with Francesca

Thursday, July 31, 2008

It's great to meet blog friends and links based abroad when they are on s homecoming. Cuz Girlie and I were so happy that Francesca in France with hubs Mitchel were able to squeeze us in for lunch and "chika chika" (with her pretty daughter Lorraine) despite their hectic short stay in Manila. If I'm not mistaken, this is our 4th meeting since we became blog bestfriends since late 2004. We had a sumptuous buffet lunch at Market Market's Kamay-Kainan and walked across Serendra for photo shoots.

Got extra opps!

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

“The sheriff is looking out for you. You have been given an extra assignment. Thanks for all of your hard work.”

I’m bouncing with joy to finally receive 6 extra opportunities from Payu2blog.com. To be honest I feel envious every time my cousin Girlie tells me that she gets these kinds of messages from the Sheriff. I would then ask myself why on earth I have not been given extra opps when in fact I have been consistent posting for them. It’s the only ad campaign company I have been relying on for extra income since I no longer get jobs from other companies. I’m so glad and thankful that my efforts had been rewarded.

For all of you guys who are doing sponsored posts, I highly recommend you submit your blog/s to Payu2blog. Once you get approved, you can expect to get opportunities on a regular basis without your mind being stressed out because you only need 60 words to do one campaign ad.

Computer literacy for free

Photobucket

The 6th District of Manila where I and my Barangay belong is just lucky to have Councilors who have programs and projects to uplift and educate its constituents toward tech literacy. One of them is Councilor Dennis Lacuna not to forget our Congressman Benny Abante, Jr. who’s offering free computer lessons to anyone interested to learn or enhance their computer know how. I’m one of those who availed this program together with five of our Offices staffs and our Barangay Treasurer as well on different schedules. The course runs for a month and a half on an hour daily schedule from Mondays to Fridays. My schedule is from 4-5 p.m. Tech literacy is a must if we want to progress as a nation. It is best promoted if computer classes are offered for free. Computer units are all new and a class consists of only 12 students per session thereby hands-on lessons are given to each student.

Love yourself, no one would ever care for

Sunday, July 27, 2008

They were married for almost 28 years. The then pretty and slim wife devoted all her time to the welfare of her husband and children, the family business, even forgot her friends, social life and most of all herself as well. She grew not only sideways but with excessive poundage all over; aged tremendously making their 4 year age gap grew dominantly visible.

Now, the younger looking and “vanidoso” husband bumped and fell into a pretty, much younger and sexier lady who led to a terrible dilemma and ordeal of the wife. He seldom comes home and if he does – bouts and pleadings can be heard of from the wife not to leave her. What a pity!

Can you imagine yourself in her shoe when you set your world to revolve around him showering love and affection to a sole man for such a long period of time and also expecting that when your kids are all grown up, only the two of you will stick it out to the end?

To all ladies out there, - Take my word – Assess and evaluate the kind of man you married. Will there be a tendency that he’ll be unfaithful in the future? Can you depend on him when you’re old and gray, slim or stout?

Can you blame Destiny or “Kapalaran” in this case?

Health is Wealth

Monday, July 21, 2008

I felt terribly down the past week that it made me realized how important one's health is. Influenza aggravated by terrible headaches due to my chronic sinusitis confined me in bed for almost 5 days which made me realized that no amount can compensate the feeling. I felt sad missing some activities like guesting along with my fellow Barangay Chairmen in one TV show and also the training and birthday treat of the Congressman at Hidden Valley, Alaminos, Laguna but somehow I'm lucky and thankful that I have the means to buy medicines and seek professional help to combat the pains and eventually recover. I'm glad I am now okay. I got the chance to attend my son-in-law Job's birthday Saturday night and went to church with my girls yesterday. All's well - hoping and praying for good health.

Bonding and shopping

Friday, July 18, 2008

Just before SHE went back to L.A., they had great bonding and shopping time in Hongkong. I'm referring here to my daughter Rhea Marie and grade school bestfriend Christine. Rhea was complaining how short the time was that she wanted to hold on to any Hongkong post so to prove her resisting the idea of going back so soon. She missed her Macau based cousins invitations to stay for a while. Oh well there will always be a 2nd time.

The flu virus is all over our household and I wasn't spared. I'm feeling a little better now except from some pounding head pains. I decided to do some taggies then.

One special entry

If there’s one thing I’m thankful for being in this great world of blogging and other friendly sites on the net is MEETING and developing some kind of friendship with a lot of wonderful people. I’ve met some of them in person and still looking forward to having an eye-ball with the rest of them (you guys!). Just recently, I was so joyous, inspired and grateful when I came across this blog entry of Leonore a.k.a mommycool

Here it goes:

If there's one person here in blogosphere that I admire most eh isa na don si Kapitana. Simple citizen pa lang siya noon, one of the firsts who I got to visit when I was just starting and testing the waters ika nga and groping how to customize my blogsite. Nagkamali pa ako...hehehe...kasi naman magpinsang magandang nanay, I even called her cousin with a wrong name, haaay...ang sarap palang magbelly dancing...kala ko pangsexy lang yun pwede pala talaga sa voluptuous...ooops walang aangal ha. Basta marunong ka ng undulation, hip rolling and others. Ok yun. Basta ako sa room ko nagbebelly dancing. Ma at pa. Basta masaya yon, try nyo...

Going back to where I just left...hanggang maging Kapitana na siya...at ako naman'y nagbusy-busyhan din. Early this morning kasi I did some fast bloghopping to say TY to my recent visitors. I saw Kapitana so I went to her site...btw, sorry Kapitana dahil di ako nakapag-comment. Feeling stranger ako tuloy.

To Kapitana, thank you so much for that nice comment. It means so much. Keep on serving the public earnestly and stay as sweet as you are. Keep safe and stay healthy and beautiful always! KUDOS!!!

Amazing Vegas

Two of my friends in the U.S. have been inviting me over again for a vacation in Daly City and Seattle. They both promised to bring me back on Vegas vacations because they knew how I enjoyed the place so much. True enough, Vegas experience was one I cannot forget when I and Queenie were there for a two-month vacation a couple of years ago. Hopefully I will but will still have to save for more moolah then!

Just sharing

Monday, July 7, 2008

I've had a lot shares of R & Rs the past few days aside from shoppings and chilling out with family and friends. Thank heavens for the many blessings!

I've missed my scheduled diamond peel this month from another Derma Clinic but instead tried out another facial through the insistence of my equally vain daughter Rhea Marie. It's called- Facial treatment with Etage Oxyjetpeel (Hydroxypeel)at Derma 360 at Rockwell. It's some kind of facial wherein some kind of liquid is infused through a high pressured machine infusing very cold air on your face. Check this to know more of the procedure though I didn't had it there.

"Did you know that in some remote places in this world, a life expectancy of more than 100 years is not uncommon?

Research has shown that many of the world's longest living people consume regular daily helpings of a tiny red fruit that may just be the world's most powerful anti-aging food: the goji berry."

Should have had an upgrade instead

Friday, July 4, 2008

I should have advised my daughter not to sell her dell laptop for her younger sister’s use. She should have just opted for a dell memory upgrade instead of buying a brand new and expensive one since computer memory upgrades are the simplest and most affordable way to speed up a computer. She should have just added her laptop’s memory and keep more programs open at once and see how fast the programs have launched at the same time minimizing system crashes.

--- The Best Gift Ever ---

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.

Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?" As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLS. SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE (5) PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

Lesson I learned: (Write here what you've learned.)
~Well, I think we get too materialistic and demanding at times. We desire to grab what we want in a snap of a finger. Learn to be patient without expecting too much and be content and thankful of all the blessings we have and in store for us.
