Erap and Loren at Sta. Ana Church
Thursday, December 18, 2008
'Twas 2 days ago when I was informed by the Sta. Ana Church Council staff that they need 10 Barangay Tanods on December 17, to provide Peace and Order at the premises for Erap's visit and gift giving to 2,000 residents chosen among the 19 Barangays of Sta. Ana. Since the Sta. Ana Church is covered by the Barangay I chair along with Precinct Station No. 6 they gave e the honor to provide the peace keeping scheme.
As instructed the Tanods where there as early as 6:00 a.m. and I got there by 9:00 a.m. to supervise the mob. Erap arrived with Loren, Maceda and avid supporter Rez in a semi open truck with around 4-6 back-up vehicles. I didn't made "papel", I was just at the foot of the improvised stage listening to their speeches until Maceda complimented my "orange uniformed tanods" incidentally matched Eraps motiff when I raised my hand and butt in "That's why I'm also in my orange shirt to match them because I'm their Chairman". At that juncture, I was asked to come up and join them, warmly welcoming me with all praises and nice comments.
