The heat is on
Monday, May 7, 2007
I had so many things to write about last week that had piled up in my coconut shell but my lazy mood and lazy fingers had prevented. Here's a recap of how the past week went.
The Heat is On, the heat is o on ohwowowoh ohwowowoh......
I had been preoccupied with the construction of a partition/divider of our 3rd floor extended living area and supervising the cleaning up everyday just when the workers leave at 5pm for 5 consecutive days. The idea came in when I went up one afternoon which I seldom do because I usually go up during the night to watch movies on DVDs or play majong. Suddenly I felt the terrible heat rushed all over me and caused severe stomach pains. I've heard about stomach pains caused by intense heat but I didn't believe till I experienced it myself. Since we bought an aircon unit for Queenie's room I thought of dividing the living area and install an exhaust fan towards the closed area now designed as our AVR at least to minimize the heat and instead of buying another aircon unit. 2 lower pictures shows the window opposite the AVR where the heat generates from.
I have been spearheading our surveillance team on this special operations which started last Saturday on a case of bank fraud. Athough I'm not directly involved with the Operations itself I monitor them (the Agents assigned) keeping me posted on what's happening. As of Wednesday, results have turned out positive almost identifiying the fraudster to the delight of the client. But sad to say that when the actual tracking down (arrest after coordination with the NBI scheduled the following day), there was no trace of the suspect. Oh well, operation will resume Monday, the 7th. I hope efforts will not go to waste.

I started out a less rice, vegetable and fruit diet coz I've noticed bulges around my mid area where extra pounds go with the ageing process (aray ko!) ouch! Honestly, hubby and I have been indulging the past couple of months since we transferred our smaller ref from the 3rd floor down to our room, stocking ice cream, chocolates, canned fruits, salads, not to mention dishes like kare-kare, lengua, ginisang monggo, etc. etc. So there! bulges for me and elevated blood test results for his sugar, cholesterol, tryglicerides, uric acid and creatine. Now, we're both paying the price-Diet and exercise (will come next).
We were at the family pool last Saturday at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna with hubby's friends and their families. The kids had fun but not me. Why? with all the alimasag, hipon, salad how would I be happy? Ang hirap kaya ng dieta!
