All Soul's Day

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

For the annual All Soul*s Day Holiday, our caretaker has set up everything for tomorrow*s very early family visit to my father-in-law*s graveyard. Flowers and candles have been prepared and a canvas tent has been mounted to give ample shade from the sunny heat or unexpected rain showers. It is good that my mother-in-law has invested on the best kind, durable and sturdy that would last for a very long time. So, I need to sign-off now for an early visit to the cemetery tomorrow. Ciao guys!

Trick or Treat

I have been posting in my previous entries about my plans of organizing a Halloween trick or treat in the neighborhood irregardless of whether I win as Chairman or not. I have set up this kind two years ago with just a few families around and it turned out good.

This afternoon as promised although we were not really prepared because I and my supporters were still tired from the previous election just 2 days ago. I did not expect that the event would turn out this successful. All the parents were very supportive and the kids were all happy with their loots. My mother-in-law and my husband were so generous to give cash prices to kids who came out of their best.

I was more than happy to receive heartfelt positive and joyous comments from my constituents! Do you know that the kids were just given a monay with matching soda? Hahaha “katalo na” but they were all very happy.

Pens for ads

I have already ordered advertising pens with our company logo together with mine and husband’s names inscribed in them as our Christmas give-away. Giving away these items is a good idea since it is a great way of promoting your business. I choose the right kinds of pens of good quality especially for executives of our big time bank clients and friends too.

Campaign Site

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Our election propagandas such as posters, stickers and tarpaulins are exclusively displayed in a giant billboard like screen standing in our land for sale located just a few houses away from our residence. I had it guarded so no candidate can use our property to show off their campaign materials. I*m sorry but I think it*s not being selfish in the real sense, just an advantage because we own the site and I*m a contender.

Ang aking plataporma

This was the letter I made, printed and distributed to my kabarangays as part of my campaign flyers.

October 19, 2007

Mahal Kong Kabarangay,

1. Maayos na pagtatapon ng basura;
2. Regular na pagpapa sipsip ng mga kanal at imburnal;
trapiko;
4. Pagtatalaga ng Officer-of-the-day sa ating Headquarters (laging may tatao);
upang ma-check ang presyon ng dugo at blood sugar, nebulizer at iba pa;
6. Operation tule para sa mga batang kabarangay kung Summer;
7. Serbisyo sa pagsusukat o pag gagrado ng salamin;
Flores de Mayo, Taunang Santacruzan, Halloween, Pasko at Bagong Taon;
9. Urinal O Ihian;
kababaihan;
11. Day Care Center at Feeding Program.

Join a Blogging Community

Monday, October 22, 2007

I wonder what I would be preoccupied with if I was not introduced to this amazing world of blogging by my best friend cousin. Since I started blogging in 2004, life has been much less of a bore. Through this wonderful hobby, I get to express my thoughts and ideas, joyous or even sad ones. I can blog just about anything, my activities, important celebrations with people I love or even hate, triumphs and defeats, things I enjoy doing, my vanities, random thoughts and feelings and lately even earning extra cash.

One thing I treasure about blogging is that I gained lots of friends online and even met some of them in person and furthermore started true friendships to bloom. I was so happy to belong in an online Blogging Community where I can share my thoughts by making blog posts, uploading photos, videos and podcasts. This community has a user rating system so members can rate each others posts and provide feedback in the form of comments. You can also share podcasts, join forums and send instant messages to other blog members.

So get started, come on in, sign up for free. Enjoy blogging and get a chance to receive a free vacation getaway.

Have to take advantage of today since it*s a Sunday when people opted to stay home, that*s what I think because of the recent Glorietta Mall bombing most are afraid to go out. I didn*t miss the church service and went straight to have additional tarpoulines and t-shirts printed. I was sooo tired though I have to take time to post sponsored posts to achieve a goal to be able to purchase a present for myself for my coming birthday.

Tip to a sexy butt

Keeping fit and trim has always been a part of my system. Apart from a regular healthy diet of fish and vegetables, I see to it that I exercise at home. Aside from the routine sit-ups and bending I have this favorite exercise equipment that I never miss for a day. It is my stepper, the secret to a firm and toned legs and butt. Oh, I tell you, it really works.

My credenza desk

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Adding another storey to our home just does not end there. Everything turned out to be a total mess just after the renovation. Our bedroom furniture, Living Room Furniture and even our Furniture Home Office were all in total disarray. My first step was to have our mini office fixed and allotted a special space for my newly purchased credenza desk. I am so excited with my elegantly designed working table. It is so roomy and spacious that now, all my stuffs can be orderly accommodated.

Trying hard?

Sunday, October 14, 2007

What is your view about the saying that most women gets to be fond of perfumes and lingerie as they get older?

I normally wear big cotton shirts to sleep because I find them very comfortable but there are times that I also put on a sexy lingerie for that extra seductive appeal. Oh gosh! There must be a truth in that saying though it is quite hard to admit.

The reasons behind my candidacy

Before I made this decision, I consulted my mother-in-law first (having in mind the finances, haha) if she*s willing to support me and without adieu she gave her big “yes” and further said that even without me running she helps and supports the barangay in all their requests which is very true. If they need uniforms, coffee, rice etc. for the barangay tanods they ran to the *Vergara*s* and ask knowing very well that they suppose to have funds. Same with my husband, he*s some kind of a Social Welfare Admn doling out financial assistance to less fortunate members around for different needs *hingi, minsan utang walang bayad*.

Here are some funny side comments from husband Rey and daughter Rhea:

*What if there are troubles that may come up if you win the seat?* asked Rey. Rhea answered with action tiptoeing and sexily running saying *here comes the chairman in havaianas, fully made-up and in a fashionable attire*, or one may answer *oh the chairman is nowhere maybe chilling out with friends at Rockwell or shopping in Greenhills* or *sorry, she*s in Hongkong or in Singapore shopping*. See how stupid these two are.

My Leadership Background

Dating back from my early school days, I remembered I am not the intellectual type but I can proudly say that I can rate myself as an above average student who consistently stays in the A or the first section. I am the *makapal ang mukha, leader leaderan* type who always joins extra curricular activities from elementary to college be it in dancing, singing, sports, scouting, CAT, Catechism (I*m not Catholic remember? but the sisters didn*t know), name it and you*ll find me there. Sometimes I ask myself if I am the *papansin type* of person. Definitely not because as a little girl I was showered with full love and attention by my parents and the whole family as well because I*m the baby, materially spoiled and vain since childhood (thanks to my mom, hehe) those blessings didn*t get into my head in fact I*m so thankful. Though most people gets intimidated by my fierce looking face, tactless and blunt words I utter at times but believe me I don*t hide ill feelings in my heart that*s why I*m very vocal. I can be very nice even to strangers but can also easily turn my back if I feel you*re not worthy of my attention and time BUT I can be a loving and loyal friend you can count on.

My exposure in the field of Security Operations dominantly comprising the male group which I head contributed more to my leadership skills combined with my desire for beauty, glamour and community service made me decide to run. I observed that the community we live in has never been active, no projects and fun activities during special occasions and I had been hearing feedbacks that the incumbent leader (need not elaborate, bad eh) is so passive in terms of supposed to be services to offer this small barangay of ours.

I*m not sour grapping this early but I*m just telling the fact that if I don*t win, it*s not my loss because they will lose somebody who will dedicate and give in the best she can. I know this will be a tough job which may deprive me of some of my vanities in life. Agree?

I*ll be posting my program or manifesto (plataporma) in my next entry and some anecdotes, comments and stories behind this arena I entered into.

Fully Loaded

Our recent trip to Subic Bay with my best friend Lynne and her family to spend a weekend at Club Morocco turned out to be a great and relaxing one. Since Rey was busy and I am going all alone without the kids, I decided not to bring a car and ride with them then on board their Chrysler fully loaded with the best Chrysler 300 accessories. What a way to travel big time, sitting pretty and comfortable in a nice and elegant car.

Complaining Inside

Tuesday, October 9, 2007

Click this Image

This is a long overdue entry that I*ve been hesistantly thinking whether to post or not because "others" may think otherwise. My husband's got a super caring mom as far as health issues is concerned and I*m super thankful. We have been hopping from one doctor to another trying to pick the best that could help him in this "14 year old diabetic bouts". You can just imagine the constant and very early hospital trips for lab works and tests. The endpoint is that his kidneys are moderately damaged and preventions are being done to delay further damage which may lead to dialysis or kidney transplant. Every doctor we consulted recommends, I mean orders him to diet (he is 220lbs.) exercise and to totally stop smoking but never did until this time.
"Napapagod na din ako sa kababawal, stressed ako pag nag hahypo sya, ang hirap gumising ng maaga punta hospital, kakasawa na yung padoctor ng padoctor halos 2x a week, etc. etc. etc. KAkaasar Na, ang tigas pa ng ulo!"

The need for magnesium

Did you know that excessive exercise depletes magnesium level in our body and that we need to restore and take magnesium supplement to quickly restore and maintain its normal dietary concentration?

Magnesium plays a very important role in our body system especially the muscles and nerves. Many cardiovascular problems are indicated with magnesium in short supply and rapid heartbeats as well as fatigue, irritability, and seizure can happen. Loss of sleep, poor memory, painful periods, depression, hypertension and confusion may also indicative of magnesium in short supply. It has also been found out that people under stress have low magnesium levels, indicating that magnesium may be beneficial to those under stress. It is also being investigated for the treatment of migraine headaches.

Magnesium gluconate is used as a supplement to maintain adequate magnesium in the body. It is the only available liquid magnesium supplement to replace magnesium levels depleted.

Mountain climbers love North Face

The first time I heard about North Face was when my son-in-law Job and his mountaineering group of friends were planning on another mountain climbing trip to Mount Pulag. I realized then that it is a brand of high quality mountaineering apparel and equipments noted to give high performance fit and function to mountain climbers, trekkers and backpackers alike. He would be happy about this site that offers a 20% off on North Face products.

Hair Loss?

Friday, October 5, 2007

Seeing less hair in the mirror lately?
There’s nothing more stressful than losing clumps of hair. Most men suffer hair loss or thinning hair due to age, disease, surgery or heredity although male pattern hair loss is the most common form of hair loss, representing close to 95% of all cases of hair loss in men. And about half of all men experience male pattern hair loss by age 50. So if you have male pattern hair loss, you are certainly not alone.

Good News! Propecia is the solution to hair loss and hair thinning problems and can help your hair grow more vigorously. It was developed to treat mild to moderate male pattern hair loss on the vertex (top of head) and anterior mid-scalp area (middle front of head) in MEN ONLY. There are testimonials that 2 out of 3 men who took PROPECIA regrew hair in the longest clinical study of men with certain types of male pattern hair loss. So what are you waiting for? Take Propecia NOW.

Real estate business is on the rise

The family went for lunch at the nearby mall from the hospital after my husband had his regular check up with his doctor. It was just only yesterday that I realized how the real estate business in this country is fairing out. I remembered collecting about five flyers from people distributing leaflets of properties like houses, condos and vacation lots sale. So I guess the business is doing well and I’m happy because it just means that our economy is on the rise. Good enough!

Healthy New York

Our family owned security business has been in existence for almost 43 years and you can just imagine the not-so-ordinary risk behind running such kind. We are mainly engaged in protecting lives and properties using human shield against bad elements of the society meaning, lives against lives.

So, what more can a company offer these people who risk their lives for such a tedious job they have chosen but the best insurance policy that can protect them, their families and loved ones in cases of demise, health problems and temporary or permanent disabilities.

Business proprietors in the big apple are lucky that they backed-up government laws as far as giving their employees the full support as far as insurance protection is concerned. The state of New York established "Healthy New York" as a result of the Health Care Reform Act of 2000. "Healthy New York" supports comprehensive and quality health care and insurance for employees and owners of small businesses in New York. Much more "Healthy New York" also helps sole proprietors and those whose employers do not offer health insurance as part of an employment package in New York. I salute the government administrators for putting up this kind of assistance.

Apart from that I noticed another gain out of it. Botox for headaches as I can personally prove did wonders aside from the studies and researches conducted because it really helped me from pains due to chronic migraines.

Barangay
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Politics and government ofthe Philippines
A barangay (Tagalog: barangay ), also known by its former name, the barrio, is the smallest local government unit in the Philippines and is the native Filipino term for a village, district or ward. Municipalities and cities are composed of barangays. In place names barangay is sometimes abbreviated as "Brgy" or "Bgy". As of December 31, 2006 there are a total of 41,995 barangays all over the Philippines.The term barangay and its structure in the modern context was conceived during the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos, replacing the old barrios. The barangays were eventually codified under the 1991 Local Government Code.
